This car has a factory AC system, I have never seen that before on a 90 from the eighties. I have to say though, it is only blowing cold air because of the cold winter here. As far as I can see it is not missing any parts and maybe only needs a charge but be prepared for more.
The body is straight and no dents except one in the sill under the door. Paint is all original, nice patina, some scratches, a tittle bit faded but it totally fits the character of this car.
Car has done 300 K km ( appr 190 K miles). I am pretty sure the engine had a overhaul. It is really nice running, easy starting even in this cold winter. Gearbox is shifting fine and it wouldn't surprise me if this has been replaced too somewhere in its live. This car is driving better then you expect from a car with this mileage.
The good:
- all original
- nice interior, headliner, seats
- frame all solid, rear cross member replaced
- newer alloys
- power steering
- everything is working fine
- no excessive smoke
- transmission and clutch working like they should work
- water pump, timing belt, injection pump replaced 1500 miles ago
- tires 50%, spare is new
The bad:
- both foot wells have some rust, it will be repaired in the next days.
- door frames have been repaired in the past, solid but you can see they are repaired
- there are some minor oil leaks, nothing major.
Nice: I found the original factory work sheet in the car.
At this moment it is a two seater. For an additional $ 500 I can add matching seats in the back.
